Sungura Safari Camp Amboseli Ltd
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings, reservations, stays, and services provided by Sungura Safari Camp Amboseli Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “the Camp”). By making a reservation or staying at our property, guests (“you”, “the client”, “the guest”) agree to comply with these Terms.
1. BOOKINGS & RESERVATIONS
1.1 How to Book
Reservations may be made through:
- Our official website

- Approved tour operators or travel agents
1.2 Confirmation of Booking
A booking is considered confirmed only after:
- We issue a Proforma Invoice, and
- At least 30% non-refundable deposit is received within 3 days of invoice date.
1.3 Full Payment
- 100% payment is required 45 days before arrival.
- For last-minute bookings (within 45 days), full payment is required immediately.
1.4 No Block Bookings
We do not permit block bookings without guaranteed deposit and confirmation.
2. RATES
2.1 Pricing
Our rates are:
- Quoted in United States Dollars (USD)
- Net and inclusive of statutory taxes
- Based on the applicable season (Peak, Green, Low, Christmas)
2.2 Meal Plan
- Standard booking is Full Board (FB)
- Half Board (HB) available with a reduction of USD 5 per person
2.3 Holiday Supplements
A compulsory USD 25 per person per night surcharge applies on:
24th, 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January.
2.4 Children Policy
- Child sharing with 2 adults: 50% of per person rate
- Child in own room: 75% of double room rate
- One child in single room: Single room rate applies
- One adult + one child: Single room + 50% of half-double
- Child age bracket: 2–11.9 years
3. CANCELLATION POLICY
The 30% deposit is strictly non-refundable.
Cancellation charges (excluding NRD):
- 61+ days before arrival: No cancellation fee
- 60–46 days prior: 25% of total stay
- 45–22 days prior: 50% of total stay
- 21–72 hours prior: 75% of total stay
- Less than 72 hours or No-show: 100% of total stay
No refunds will be issued for:
- Early departures
- Missed meals or services
- Unused nights due to late arrival
- Adverse weather or road conditions
4. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
- Check-in: 12:00 PM
- Check-out: 10:00 AM
Late check-out is subject to availability and may attract an additional charge.
5. AMENDMENTS TO BOOKINGS
- Changes in dates, number of guests, room category, or duration are subject to availability.
- Rate differences may apply based on seasonal pricing.
- Reductions in guest numbers may be treated as cancellations.
6. CAMP RULES & GUEST CONDUCT
6.1 Wildlife Safety
Sungura Safari Camp is located in a wildlife area. Guests must:
- Follow all safety instructions from our staff
- Avoid walking alone outside designated areas
- Keep tents and cottages securely closed
We are not liable for injuries caused by wildlife misconduct or negligence.
6.2 Property Care
Guests will be responsible for:
- Damage to tents, cottages, furniture, or property caused by negligence
- Loss of keys or camp equipment
Charges may apply.
6.3 Noise & Behavior
We maintain a peaceful environment. Disorderly behavior may result in removal from the property without refund.
7. FORCE MAJEURE
The Camp shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Weather conditions
- Acts of nature
- Road closures
- Park restrictions
- Pandemics
- Government actions
- Power outages or equipment failure
- Delays by third-party service providers
Refunds or rescheduling will be handled at our discretion.
8. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
8.1 Personal Safety
Guests participate in all activities (game drives, nature walks, cultural visits, etc.) at their own risk.
8.2 Personal Belongings
The Camp is not responsible for:
- Loss of valuables
- Theft
- Damage to personal property
Secure storage may be provided upon request.
8.3 Health & Insurance
Guests are advised to:
- Have comprehensive travel and medical insurance
- Carry necessary medication
- Follow all health and vaccination recommendations
9. USE OF PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
Sungura Safari Camp may capture photos or videos for promotional purposes.
Guests who do not wish to appear in such content must inform management in writing at check-in.
10. DATA PRIVACY
We value your privacy. Personal information shared during bookings or stays will be used solely for operational, security, and communication purposes and will not be shared with unauthorized parties.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
Any disputes shall be resolved amicably or through the appropriate Kenyan legal channels.
